Mandy Hulstine FNP-C, Clinic Lead I

Mandy Hulstine is a healthcare provider at Power of Wellness and lifelong Alaskan. She attended the University of Alaska Anchorage for her Bachelor of Nursing Science degree and Master of Nursing Science degree. Mandy has been working in the medical field for 10 years! She has lived and provided direct medical service in Ketchikan since 2017. 

Thoughtful, evidence based, and compassionate care is the foundation of Mandy's practice. Her mission is to provide every patient with the level of thorough and expert treatment she would expect her own family to receive.  Honesty is her most valued quality. She oversees clinic operation with other members of leadership to provide a quality experience.

When not working she enjoys spending time with her yellow lab, Marley. She also enjoys picking berries, fishing, and hunting on Prince of Wales with her family.

Sarah Hines FNP-C

Sarah Hines moved to Ketchikan from Indianapolis, Indiana a few years ago and is thrilled to be considered a local!  She graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing from University of Alaska Anchorage after working as an ER nurse for almost 20 years.

 

Sarah’s calm demeanor and compassionate approach to caring for patients makes her an excellent addition to Power of Wellness Family Health Clinic.

 

In her spare time, Sarah loves to swim, do yoga, read, and walk her dog.

Crystal Penino, FNP-C

Crystal Pennino is a Family Nurse Practitioner, with an emphasis on women’s healthcare and routine prenatal care.

She was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She obtained her Bachelor of Nursing Science in Nursing from Oregon Health and Science University in 2002 and moved to Dillingham, Alaska for four years before moving to Ketchikan with her husband. She and her husband have two boys and are active within the community.

 

Crystal obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University. She has a passion for women’s reproductive health and her background in forensic nursing gives her a compassionate, trauma informed approach. 


She is excited to serve our Ketchikan community and makes an excellent addition to our team!

Tracy Bell, FNP-C
Tracy Bell

Tracy Bell FNP-C is our most recent provider addition! She relocated from New Mexico to Ketchikan in January of 2021. She fell in love with the community and knew that Alaska would be her home. 

 

Tracy received her Master's degree in Boston after working as an ICU and ER nurse for the past 15 years!  She even spent time working in New Mexico with one of our long time and beloved Prince of Wales doctors!  

Tracy has worked with underserved populations throughout her career. She also has passion and knowledge for serving our LGBTQ+ community. She explains that medicine is a continuum that is ever changing and she is looking forward to serving our Ketchikan based LGBTQ+ clients. Tracy focuses on creating a partnership between provider and patient and wants to make her patients feel heard.

 

She wants everyone to know she values patient feedback when creating a plan of care.  She incorporates functional medicine, traditional evidence based medicine, and an integrative approach of both. 

 

In Tracy's free time, she loves spending time outdoors with her family, hiking, and enjoying our local beaches! 

Drew Richter, EMT Level 2, 68W Healthcare Specialist

Drew Richter is a certified EMT-II and is a medic in the Army National Guard. He is particularly knowledgeable and skilled in blood draws and starting IVs.

He is very detail oriented and efficient, which allows him to seamlessly function as a medical assistant and office manager for Power of Wellness. 

He strives to make every patient feel comfortable when they are in his care and prides himself on not being too serious. He understands the motto "there is a time and place for everything".

When Drew is not working, or holding an eagle, he enjoys learning guitar. He also has a special interest in mountain bike trail riding and hopes to someday trail ride in other countries!

Megan Beardsley, Lab Lead, NCPT

Megan "Meg" Beardsley was born and raised in Ketchikan. She has two daughters and loves living the island life.

Meg started her healthcare career in 2005, specializing in the lab which has become her passion. She is dedicated to ensuring lab work is done correctly, efficiently, and understands the need for getting results quickly. Meg serves an integral role in the office, overseeing day to day clinical operations.

When Meg is not working, she enjoys spending her off time running, hiking, participating in sports, going to the gym, and listening to music - all while in the beauty of Southeast Alaska.

Hillary Hammond moved to Ketchikan with her family in 2016. She has a background as a teacher and most recently has worked with special needs individuals. This combination has given her the ability to handle many things at once and keep attention to details.

She is fluent in American Sign Language and delivers compassion to all those she serves. Her quick wit and empathetic nature are certain to make everyone feel comfortable whether on the phone or in our office. She is a valued member of our leadership team to promote the missions of our practice.

When not working, Hillary loves spending time her with dog and dreams of interpreting sign language on stage for musicians at a concert!

Camille Cadiente, Reception

Camille Cadiente is a receptionist at Power of Wellness. You will hear her when you call our front desk to schedule appointments, ask to speak with other clinic team members and make payments.

 

She was born and raised in Ketchikan, Alaska and her background is customer service. She is passionate about helping others and giving back to the community. She is also fluent in Tagalog! 

 

Camille loves the beautiful nature of Alaska. She enjoys baking, watching movies, and going on adventures.

Valerie Stump, Reception

Valerie is one of our receptionists. You will hear her voice while answering phones, scheduling patients, and collecting payments. Valerie is always willing to help out and strives to find the answer. She has completed CNA courses and is currently pursuing being a licensed medical assistant. For this reason, she will be cross trained in our clinic for direct patient care! 

 

She is very dedicated to helping the community, detail oriented and always has a smile.  

Valerie was born and raised in Ketchikan, Alaska. When she is not at work she enjoys reading, spending time with family, and traveling.

Brenda Jenne, Health Records Specialist

Brenda Jenne is our health records specialist.  She helps us process paper records, electronic records, and complete any release of information needs we have. Her background is in sales and management.

 

She moved to Ketchikan, Alaska in her teens from Wisconsin. She enjoys time with her family; she has several children and numerous grandchildren. She also enjoys the beauty of the outdoors, crafting, taking care of plants, food, a good joke, and new knowledge.

Dakota Madewell, Medical Office Assistant, EMT-I

Dakota Madewell is one of our clinical assistants. He helps room patients, process COVID-19 tests, and helps the clinic run smoothly performing patient care tasks.

 

Dakota was born in Washington and was raised on Kodiak Island. He has been working in the medical field since he was 17 years old! He is currently certified as an EMT-1. He is calm and levelheaded.

 

Outside of work, he enjoys hiking and fishing any chance he can get!
